Aquatic Club Celebrates Major Accomplishment

The KCEOC Aquatic Club recently celebrated a major achievement, with four of its young swimmers qualifying for the Kentucky Swimming Short Course Yards Championships. Competing in Louisville from March 14-17, three swimmers in the 12-and-under category—Silas Black, Harris Brooks, and Mila Hammons—delivered impressive performances, improving their times across multiple events.

Meanwhile, Aiden Senel, competing in the 13-14 men’s division at Centre College from March 21-23, had a standout performance. He secured multiple top finishes, including a State Champion title in the 1650 Freestyle (the mile) with a time of 17:46.91. His accomplishments also included a second-place finish in the 1000 Freestyle and a top-four placement in the 500 Freestyle and 200 Butterfly.

The KCEOC Community Action Partnership takes pride in these young athletes’ dedication and hard work. The KCEOC Aquatic Club is a privately funded competitive swimming program providing youth in Southeast Kentucky with opportunities to excel in the sport.

For over 60 years, KCEOC Community Action Partnership has been dedicated to improving lives and fostering hope in communities across Kentucky.
