2023 LIHEAP Fall Subsidy Program

KCEOC CAP Inc. is now accepting applications for the new Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Fall Subsidy Component.

 

Applications will be accepted from Nov 6th through Dec 15, 2023 or until designated funds are depleted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

 

The program is designed to help offset the cost of a household’s heating expense. Income eligibility for the program is up to and including 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Benefits are paid directly to the heating vendor.

 

The Fall Subsidy Component provides households one-time benefit ranging from $34 to $206 depending on income levels, housing category, and heating fuel type.

 

All applicants will be required to supply the following documentation at the time of application:

All applicants will be required to supply the following documentation at the time of application:

Proof of Social Security Number or Permanent Residence card (Green Card) for each member of the household.

Proof of all household’s (all members) income from the preceding month.

Most current utility service bill, including account number and name on account statement from your landlord if utility service expenses are included in your rent statement from the utility company if you participate in a Pre-Pay Program.

KCEOC CAP and CAK administers LIHEAP in partnership with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services who receive the funding as a pass-through block grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
